Posted on: 01/10/

SAN DIEGO -- ImageWare Systems, Inc. announces that it has signed a software development agreement with Eastman Kodak Company. This agreement was concluded through ImageWare's Professional Digital Imaging Group. Under the terms of this agreement, ImageWare will create a custom software solution for professional photographers, which will be distributed by Kodak Professional world wide, via their dealer channel and photo lab clients.

In combination with Kodak cameras, printers and lab partners, the software will provide a complete workflow solution, enabling professional photographers to seamlessly merge customer data with their images and process those photos in-house with Kodak printers or send them to a processing lab utilizing Kodak software.

"We are delighted with the opportunity to work on this project with Kodak," commented Paul Devermann, president of ImageWare Professional Digital Imaging Group. "It is testament to our core software capabilities that Kodak selected us and we look forward to working with them to create a state-of-the- art product."

ImageWare Systems, Inc. is a leader in software solutions for digital imaging, biometrics, law enforcement and secure credentials. Through its ID product line, ImageWare applies its core technology to create secure identification systems for airports, universities, government agencies and private businesses. ImageWare's law enforcement product line empowers its customers to quickly capture, search, retrieve and share digital photographs and criminal history records on stand alone, networked or Web-based platforms. ImageWare additionally leverages its imaging technology to create software and Web-based solutions for professional photographers.

Kodak is a major participant in "infoimaging," a $385 billion industry composed of devices (digital cameras and PDAs), infrastructure (online networks and delivery systems for images) and services and media (software, film and paper enabling people to access, analyze and print images).
